Lexia’s Literacy Solutions in Massachusetts
Supporting Massachusetts’ New Direction for Early Literacy
Educators in Massachusetts have entered a new chapter in early literacy with the enactment of An Act relative to teacher preparation and student literacy, Chapter 113 of the Acts of 2026. The law includes provisions addressing evidence-based K–3 literacy instruction, high-quality curriculum, literacy screening, educator preparation and support, district planning, reporting, and oversight.
As Massachusetts district administrators move toward implementation, curriculum is only one part of the work ahead. Effective literacy implementation also depends on educator knowledge, instructional practice, student data, intervention, and ongoing leadership support.
Lexia® supports Massachusetts school and district leaders with evidence-based literacy instruction, professional learning, actionable student data, and targeted support that can help strengthen the connections between research and classroom practice.
