Learn what the first four units of Lexia® LETRS® cover, with premade agendas to save you a step. Estimated times are included for each unit and its subsections, to assist you with scheduling LETRS training. These times are flexible, and can be adjusted based on your needs. 

The first unit agenda in the PDF covers The Challenge of Learning to Read. It includes what happens in our brains when we read. This first unit also goes into how language and literacy are related. 

The second unit agenda is about The Speech Sounds of English, and covers phonological skill development. This unit delves into consonant and vowel phonemes. 

The third unit agenda is all about Teaching Beginning Phonics, Word Recognition, and Spelling. It connects the phonemes from the previous unit to orthography, and includes an effective phonics lesson plan. 

The fourth unit agenda in the PDF is all about Advanced Decoding, Spelling, and Word Recognition. It continues with English orthography. This unit also goes into syllable types and syllable division.
