Resources to engage families in their child’s learning
Lexia is continually creating additional resources to help educators and caregivers support literacy learning in person, remotely or somewhere in-between.
The resources below can be shared directly with families in your community to help caregivers feel comfortable using Lexia programs from home and to engage students in literacy learning beyond our online programming. Additionally, we recommend following Lexia on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn to learn weekly tips and tricks that can be shared with your staff and families on an ongoing basis.
Dedicated Family Webpages
We have created dedicated pages on our website for families. These pages are meant to help caregivers understand how Lexia programs work, how to log in, how to best support students while working online, and much more. Share the links below to help families set students up for success to use Lexia programs remotely.
At-Home Resource Hub
For remote learning environments, Lexia has created an At-Home Resources Hub to help families easily access materials beyond our online programs. The Resources Hub contains a library of activities to extend students’ literacy learning. Teachers are encouraged to recommend these activities to families based on their child’s performance in Core5 or PowerUp. These can be shared by teachers via email, printed packets, LMS/Google Classroom or by directing families to the At-Home Resources Hub. These comprehensive activities can be especially helpful if a student does not have access to a Core5 or PowerUp supported device at home to continue to support literacy learning offline.

Additionally, Lexia has created optional, fun activity ideas you can suggest to families to promote reading through hands-on activities. Share the PDFs linked below with families or encourage teachers to include individual activities as part of their remote lesson planning. Designed for foundational through intermediate readers, most activities can be completed with everyday objects that families already have around the house. Links to these resources are also found on the At-Home Resources Hub.
