Local Facilitator Certification Training for Lexia LETRS
Certification Prerequisites
Must have a sponsoring agency* and email address verifying employment in the agency.
Read the textbook and complete the online content and associated Bridge to Practice activities for Volume 1 or 2.
Attend all four days of Unit training, with one full day dedicated to each Unit in the Volume (Units 1–4 or 5–8). These can be virtual or in person, spread across several months.
Pass the end-of-course exam following Unit 4 or Unit 8 with a score of 88% or better. If you score an 80–87%, a one-time exam retake may be requested. If you score 79% or lower, you are ineligible to become a Facilitator.
Purchase a Facilitator’s Kit for Units 1–4 or 5–8 upon meeting prerequisites. Includes initial license to Literacy Symposium.
Volume 1 facilitator certification must be completed prior to becoming a Volume 2 facilitator.
Attend four days of live, in-person training.
Complete Connecting Activities including self-assessments, Lexia LETRS content checks, and Lexia LETRS facilitation demo videos.
Attend two days of live online training.
Lexia LETRS Vol. 1 or 2 certification takes, on average, eight weeks to complete.
Annual Recertification Requirements
Complete a minimum of eight sessions of ongoing professional development offered annually by Lexia.
Sign and submit an annual Statement of Commitment.
Remain employed or contracted by the sponsoring agency.
*A sponsoring agency is a local, regional, or state education agency that invests in certifying local Lexia LETRS Facilitators to ensure long-term sustainability for the agency. The sponsoring agency must have purchased course licenses for the Facilitator candidate.
Local Facilitator Certification Training for Lexia LETRS for Early Childhood Educators

LETRS Public Local Facilitator Certification Registration
If you are interested in becoming certified to support your district or sponsoring agency in building a sustainable use model for Lexia LETRS or Lexia LETRS for Early Childhood Educators, view the calendar for available training options and then proceed with the registration process. The certification process includes three components:
Live in-person training, followed by a series of,
Connecting Activities, and ends with additional,
Live Online Training.
Lexia LETRS Vol. 1 or 2 certification takes on average 8 weeks to complete. Lexia LETRS for Early Childhood Educators certification takes on average 4 weeks to complete.
Review available live, in-person public training session dates on the calendar. The additional training events mentioned will be scheduled directly with your Lexia LETRS Professional Facilitator before the conclusion of your live, in-person public training.
