We are proud to announce that RAND Corporation recently evaluated Core5’s effect on accelerating reading gains post-pandemic school closings in a new study titled “Students Using Lexia Core5 Reading Show Greater Reading Gains Than Matched Comparison Students.”

RAND found: 

• Core5 can substantially serve students from Pre-K through fifth grade, more than other curricula or competing literacy products.
• Core5 can make up pandemic learning loss experienced by students more than other curricula or competing literacy products.
• Black and Hispanic students who used Core5 experienced larger reading achievement gains than similar students who did not use the program.
• The more students used Core5, the faster they were able to make up for the academic effects of the pandemic.
• Students in grades 3 through 5 who used Core5 experienced higher literacy gains than students who used other curricula or competing literacy products.
