Frank Lukasik

Frank Lukasik has spent the duration of his 22-year career in education working within the NYC Public School System and Long Island School districts. He began his career as an elementary school teacher and continued to work in education as an elementary assistant principal, elementary principal, and director of literacy and funded programs.
In his current role, he is responsible for ELA and ENL curriculum in grades K–12. As part of his various responsibilities as a district and building leader, Lukasik has taken an active role in guiding the curriculum and supporting instruction within schools to ensure the students, faculty, and entire school community can move forward together. Successful projects Lukasik has engaged in to support this process have been the creation of committees to investigate and discuss research-aligned practices, scientifically based curriculum initiatives, and student engagement.
Lukasik is extremely reflective and utilizes that to foster continued improvement in professional development, teaching, and assessment as it relates to English Language Arts instruction.
