Diana Palacios

Diana Palacios has more than 20 years of experience working in elementary education from pre–K through 5th grade. She has worked as a classroom teacher, dyslexia and reading intervention teacher, and professional learning specialist. She has a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in early childhood education, and earned her Master’s degree in Reading and Literacy from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Understanding that literacy is tied to equity, Diana Palacios is driven to help bring awareness to the importance of literacy development in the early grades. She has presented at various conferences including the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children, the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association, and the National At-Risk Conference. She has also collaborated with the Edcamp Foundation and PBS/KLRN to put together edcamps focused on early learning for educators in San Antonio, Texas. She currently works as Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction focusing on best practices in literacy instruction for grades K–5.
