Lexia English and The Science of Reading for Florida

Lexia® English Language Development® is an adaptive-blended learning program designed to support Emergent Bilingual students working toward literacy success. Based on the science of reading, the program uses evidence to guide students from learning to read to reading to learn. Oral language is the foundation for later reading skills, especially for Emergent Bilingual students. That’s why Lexia English Language Development provides scaffolded speaking and listening instruction to set Emergent Bilingual students up for success.

Studies done on Lexia English Language Development reveal students using it show significantly greater English language proficiency than students who did not.
