Intervention and Acceleration Science of Reading Solutions for Ohio
Lexia® Core5® Reading and Lexia® PowerUp Literacy® provide adaptive, individualized literacy learning for pre-K–12 students of all abilities, making them ideal solutions for the Ohio MTSS Framework.
These programs, aligned with Ohio Learning Standards for ELA and approved by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW), accelerate literacy skills for students reading below grade level. They meet the state’s rigorous high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) criteria, ensuring they follow science of reading-based methods and avoid the three-cueing approach. Starting in the 2024–2025 school year, Ohio districts and community schools are required to use English Language Arts interventions from the approved ODEW list.
The Ohio Department of Education’s Read Ohio initiative aims to improve literacy proficiency across the state, and Lexia® supports this effort with its science of reading-based solutions.
Key Features:
- Core5 and PowerUp offer inclusive support for English Learners and integrate social-emotional learning to enhance student growth.
