At a Glance: Maryland Literacy Success

With the new state board resolution aligning Maryland literacy policy with the science of reading, many Maryland district leaders can pat themselves on the back for getting a head start.

Schools and districts across Maryland are ahead of the game in implementing literacy instruction based on the science of reading by using Lexia® Core5® Reading to improve student literacy skills. These districts are already making progress in helping Maryland meet the statewide goal of ranking in the top 10 states in reading on the NAEP exams by 2027.
