Oregon State Progress Report School Year 2023–2024
Lexia® Core5® Reading and Lexia English Language Development™ made a remarkable impact on Oregon students during the 2023–2024 school year, providing research-backed, science of reading-based instruction. Designed to enhance teacher-led instruction, these programs helped students improve literacy skills across multiple areas, from phonological awareness to comprehension. Lexia’s personalized approach ensured each student received the targeted support they needed to reach their full potential.
In Oregon, these solutions were implemented in more than 267 schools, where students showed significant gains in literacy performance. By the end of the year, the percentage of students working at or above grade level grew substantially, while the number of students working below grade level saw a notable decrease. Teachers like Ronee Treadwell from Carus Elementary have praised Lexia® for engaging students and improving their understanding of critical literacy skills such as word structure and comprehension.
Lexia English also supports Oregon’s Emergent Bilingual students by enhancing their language proficiency with engaging, interactive content. With standards-aligned reporting available in myLexia®, teachers and administrators can track student progress and ensure all learners are making strides.
