PowerUp and Renaissance Star Reading Validity Report
PowerUp®Literacy® performance measures were shown to be valid indicators of reading ability based on comparisons with scores on Renaissance Star Reading test. A strong, significant correlation was found between students' percent completion in PowerUp and their scores on Star Reading. Most students (77%) who finished the school year working in Advanced Zones across all three instructional strands in PowerUp were also proficient on Star Reading.
