Lexia Core5 Reading Canada Annual Report
Are you ready to accelerate literacy growth for all your students? The Lexia® Core5® Reading program is redefining how educators address diverse learning needs, from foundational skills to advanced literacy.
The 2023–2024 Canada National Progress Report showcases the remarkable results achieved by more than 100,000 pre-K–5 students across 3,100 schools. By using Core5 with fidelity, these students made significant strides in their reading abilities. Here’s a glance at the data:
- The number of students working in or above grade level more than doubled by the end of the year, with 26% of all students reaching their end-of-year benchmark or above.
- 30% of students one grade below closed the reading gap and reached their grade-level benchmarks.
- 44% of students who started the year two or more grades below gained at least two grade levels of skills. Twenty-eight percent reduced their risk of reading failure and caught up to or rose above grade level.
By allowing students to learn and practice skills at their own targeted place and pace, Core5 helps students make the critical shift from learning to read to reading to learn. With adaptive learning paths, embedded assessments, and real-time data, Core5 empowers educators to provide personalized instruction and drive meaningful progress.
