Lexia Core5 Reading Canada Annual Report

At Lexia®, "All for Literacy" is more than a slogan: It's our core value. 

Throughout the 2023–2024 school year, Lexia® Core5® Reading helped more than 100,000 pre-K–5 students across 3,100 schools in Canada make substantial progress toward their reading goals. 

Students working on skills at or above their grade level increased from 19% to 56%. Additionally, 75% of students went on to reach grade-level benchmark or above by the end of the year. 

Here’s how Core5 also led to student success in Canada: 

• Student use measured 81 average minutes per week 
• Students completed 22 skills and the corresponding Skill Checks 
• More than 110,000 level certificates were delivered 
• Nearly 320,000 Lexia Lessons® and Lexia Skill Builders® were delivered 

With such incredible student success, teachers had a lot to say about Core5: 

• 93% say Core5 is easy to use 
• 80% say student outcomes are improving thanks to Core5 
• 84% say Core5 helps them more efficiently provide targeted instruction

“I love that Core5 adjusts to intervene when students make errors. The reteaching is priceless. Also, I love the certificates for leveling up; this along with the different themes of the levels are very engaging,” one teacher said.
