Making the Most of ESSER Funds with Lexia® LETRS®
Helping elementary students transition from reading to learn to learning to read can be complicated, which is why it is so important teachers receive professional training necessary to ensure students achieve literacy success. As we’re recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. Department of Education is providing districts with the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER Fund). Now, schools must decide how to allocate that money, and professional development is a great place to start.
Lexia LETRS® is professional learning for elementary educators, and it is eligible for ESSER funding. It is a comprehensive professional development course designed to provide early childhood and elementary educators with deep knowledge about the science of reading. LETRS provides educators with the tools they need to master the fundamentals of reading and writing instruction, which, in turn, gives their students a better chance at achieving literacy success.
