Lexia Reading has two components: student software that is installed on each student workstation and MyLexia, the web-based management system.

Setup Mylexia
You will need to set up accounts for your students to use with Lexia Reading. This can be done online through the MyLexia website, or en masse by importing a new list of students or migrating existing Lexia users from older Lexia software. An import or migration will result in a file you can send to Lexia to bring into the system.

Create Teachers and Staff (import template)
You can import teacher and staff accounts. Open the file with Excel for easy editing. Please do not change or add to column headings and create a separate file for each school. Make sure you indicate which file goes with which school and include your customer number in an e-mail to support@lexialearning.com.

3. Setup Student Accounts
Customers with Previous Versions of Lexia Software—
Download the Lexia Migration Tool
- Windows XP and higher (exe, 3.64 MB)
- Mac OS X 10.2.8 and higher (zip, 1.3 MB)
Use this tool for migration of student information from previous Lexia products. Please create a separate file for each school you wish to migrate. Make sure you indicate which file goes with which school, and e-mail the files and your customer number to support@lexialearning.com.
New Lexia Customers

4. Program Assignments
Students that are new to Lexia Reading can use the Auto Placement feature in the Lexia Reading Student Software v6.0 to determine the best program and level for them. To take advantage of this feature, all students must have grade assignments.
5. Distribute User Information
Share login information with students and teachers and let them know how to access the software.

- You will need your 16 digit customer code (see your Welcome e-mail)
- Please configure all content-filtering software, firewalls, and browsers to allow access to student.mylexia.com and update.lexialearning.com via SSL (port 443).
- Lexia only supports installations where the student software is installed on each student machine.
Note: You can install and configure on 1 machine and they copy to additional machines running the same operating system type (Windows vs. Macintosh).
